Despite the world having a turbulent year, we are pleased to say the results from the 2020 Decanter World Wine Awards have been published and we are now the proud owner of another gold and two more silver medals.

Fabre Montmayou Reserva Cabernet Franc 2019          Gold Medal, 95 points

“Ripe nose with fresh red fruits and lively notes of green vegetables and capsicum. Quite solid palate with pleasant fruit and juiciness, peppery and spicy.”

Fabre Montmayou Gran Reserva Malbec 2018                              Silver Medal, 94 points

“This wine is generous and rich with great clarity of fruit and touches of blueberry and graphite. Long, silky finish. Delicious!”

“Spicy, savoury and herb aromas mixed with damson and blackberry. Quite refreshing with a firm structure and mellow round body.”

Now in its 17thyear, the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is the world’s largest and most influential wine competition, Judged by the top wine experts from around the globe, the DWWA is trusted internationally for its rigorous judging process. During the judging month which was conducted under strict Covid guidelines, 116 expert wine judges including 37 Masters of Wine and nine Master Sommeliers tasted and debated the merits of 16,518 wines from 56 countries.
