Fabre Montmayou

Cabernet Franc for Easter

With the Easter weekend almost upon us, why not serve Cabernet Franc alongside your seasonal feast? Our double trophy-winning Fabre Montmayou Cabernet Franc has a wonderful balance of fruit and acidity, perfect to drink with roast lamb.

If the weather is warm, can we also suggest chilling it slightly which gives a wonderful freshness. It is the ideal elegant red to serve whilst the sun shines.

Our Cabernet Franc vines are located in Lujan de Cuyo and are on average over 17 years old with a yield of 45 hl/ha. The grapes were hand-harvested into small trays to avoid damaging the fruit and then meticulous sorting was performed by hand in order to select only the best grapes.

Fermentation occurred at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C with four pump-overs per day and a long maceration period of twenty days at 25°C. Sixty percent of the wine was then aged in French oak barrels for twelve months.

Fabre Montmayou Reserva Cabernet Franc is an intense red colour, bursting with red and black fruit aromas with a hint of mint. This wine is fresh and well balanced, with a long finish.
